Want to know our secrets?

Are you ready & willing to do what it takes to become a dynamic leader?  Our series, FOR WOMEN ONLY: Secrets to Being a Dynamic Leader, led by Doreen Bolhuis, President/CEO of Gymco, offers the crucial skills, practice & individual mentoring needed to become the leader others want to follow.

Our series will follow a Roundtable format & focus on leadership issues that are gender driven.  Members will meet once per month for two hours and each session will be devoted to learning, studying, and discussing a new leadership concept.  The facilitated discussion will explore practical ways to implement leadership skills and how to personalize according to individual style, position, and industry.  Members will practice implementation of the leadership concept in their business and personal lives over the next month, noting challenges and successes.

Each member will receive a monthly personal coaching session with Doreen to discuss and enhance their leadership growth.  When the group convenes, the first half hour will include exploration and discussion of personal challenges and successes during the previous month, to gain insights and further refine individual development.

Secrets to Being a Dynamic Leader will offer practical tools and strategies that women can implement every day in their business and personal lives, enabling them to break through barriers and launch to the next level in skill, confidence, and insights.

“Being the owner of an event planning firm, and state president of a political organization is no easy feat. It has taken the right team, wisdom, insight and quite a lot of courage to hone and execute my leadership skills.  I have been fortunate to have Doreen Bolhuis as my mentor for the past five years. Through her mentoring and excellent example, I am learning to lead boldly, with confidence.  I have been able to produce better results that directly add to my bottom-line. That means more for my family, more for my community and achieving more of my goals and dreams.

Leadership Insights from Justin Bieber

cc 5
I was listening to “As Long As You Love Me” by Justin Bieber feat. Big Sean (don’t ask!)  Anyway, Big Sean says “The grass ain’t always greener on the other side, it’s green where you water it.

As leaders, change agents, and provocative thinkers, we often suffer from neomania.  Neomania is the obsession of the new or modern for its own sake; “the next big thing”.   As humans, we’re easily bored and often confuse and use “new” and “improved” synonymously.   But we may be missing something.  Something that’s right in front of our face or under our feet. Something wonderful, that we’re taking for granted.

Here’s Your Challenge…

Instead of assuming you need something new, different, or more – whether it’s an employee, partner, career, etc., consider watering what you already have.

Where might a small investment in your time and attention pay off for you?  Are you SURE you need something new?  What do you already have that you could more deeply appreciate?

Carry water with you and your grass will always be green!
